Was so nicknamed for his fascination with mechanical contraptions by fellow orphans in a distant desert land.
When he was old enough he apprenticed with an order of hermit monks, who peacefully grew olives, and grapes. Gaj would disassemble and sometimes fix the foreign machines sometimes traded to the monks for their wines. He mastered their martial ways, and was sent on a long sea voyage to learn even greater secrets from the masters of this order, when the ship foundered. He washed ashore with nothing but a symbol of that order, in this unknown land.
He has since worked as caravan guard, trying to make what coin he can, and thus arrived in Adler’s Cove.
