verdun

The Verdun Ruhr is the term used to describe a multitude of traveling family troupes of minstrels and actors who roam the country. They setup their camps outside of the town walls and provide evening entertainment for the townsfolk. They are well known for signing old songs and keeping the history of the land alive through stories. They are closely bound by ties of blood, and while outsiders who share their passion are occasionally welcomed to share food, drink, and tales by their campfire, only family is ever allowed to join the troupe.
